Preludes 3 T.S. Eliot

III You tossed a blabket from the bed, You lay upon your back, and waited; You dozed, and watched the night revealing The thousand sordid images Of which your soul was constituted; They flickered against the ceiling. And when all the world came back And the light crept up between the shutters, And you heard the sparrows in the gutters, You had such a vision of the street As the street hardly understands; Sitting along the bed’s edge, where You curled the papers from your hair, Or clasped the yelloiw soles of feet In the palms of both soiled hands.

On tumblr, and really any social networking website, but most predominantly and visibly on tumblr do you see young kids try and become overnight activists. And although seeing all the videos and posts is pretty inspiring, I feel that most people just watched the Invisible Children video prior to knowing anything about the organization, and then chose not to look into the topic further, but went straight to reblogging everything “Kony” related in sight.

Just like the author of this video says, please educate yourself on things first, and then, choose what to believe. Don’t let the statements of one person instantly shape your outlook.
